FBI Seizes NetNut Proxy Platform, Popa Botnet

The FBI, together with private-sector partners, took down hundreds of web domains tied to NetNut, a large residential proxy operation run by Israeli firm Alarum Technologies. The seizure follows reporting that linked the service to the Popa botnet, said to encompass roughly two million consumer devices infected with malware and enrolled without their owners' knowledge or agreement.
