DoppelCart fraud network uses 119,000 fake shops to steal credit cards

Researchers have uncovered a sprawling scam operation nicknamed DoppelCart that runs more than 119,000 counterfeit online storefronts. The fake shops are designed to trick shoppers into entering payment card information, which the operators then harvest. Consumers who buy from unfamiliar sites risk having their card details stolen and misused.
