Chrome Web Store extensions caught stealing crypto, browser data

Researchers found a set of browser add-ons distributed through official Chrome and Edge stores that secretly installed a modular malware toolkit. The modules harvested users' crypto wallets, browsing history, and other private information, and also pushed deceptive ClickFix-style prompts. Everyday users who installed these add-ons risked having personal data siphoned directly from their browsers.
