Anthropic warns infostealer malware is hijacking Claude sessions to drain usage

Anthropic has notified certain Claude customers that information-stealing malware running on their computers captured live authentication sessions. With those stolen sessions, attackers were able to log into the victims' accounts and burn through their usage allotments. The incident highlights how device-level malware can expose consumers' accounts and the data inside them.
