Infostealers are hijacking Claude accounts at users’ expense

Anthropic has raised an alert that information-stealing malware is scooping up Claude session cookies from infected devices, letting attackers slip into victims' accounts. Once inside, the intruders burn through the account owner's paid usage. It's a reminder that credential and cookie theft on personal machines can hand over access to online services without a password ever being cracked.
