California Legislature Advances Bill to Strengthen Deletion Rights

California lawmakers have approved SB 923, dubbed the Expanding Privacy Rights Act and backed by the state's privacy regulator. The measure would broaden consumers' deletion rights so they apply to all personal information held about them, regardless of where a company obtained it.
