Researchers have described a technique dubbed BragJack that subverts the AI assistants embedded in several web browsers. By taking control of the assistant, an attacker can reach sensitive material, trigger harmful operations, and siphon data out of the browser. The issue matters for ordinary users, since browser-based AI helpers often have access to personal information.
